Nowadays, mental health has grabbed the attention of health specialists. According to the World Health Organization’s report of 2023, suicide is the fourth leading cause of death worldwide. In the United States, Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) has a significant role in self-harm or suicide. A MDD victim goes through several mental and physical health-related issues, but the worst endpoint that can happen is suicidal death.

When talking about mental health, the most common health issue that genZ faces is depression. Major depressive disorder (MDD), also known as clinical depression is a mental disorder that is characterized by at least two weeks of consistently low mood, low self-esteem, and loss of interest or pleasure in daily life activities. Several research claims that females are more susceptible to being victimized by Major Depressive Disorder globally. In the European Union, male victims are also prevalent but most of them are unacknowledged about their clinical depression which results in testosterone-deficient Caucasian in male victims.

Which signs or symptoms can be used to diagnose Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)?

We can differentiate the signs and symptoms into two groups. Psychological symptoms are that which is related to mental health and Somatic symptoms are that symptoms which can be related to physical health.
